The sun is almost always out these days; though Sunglasses are chic and all, they only protect the eyes from ultraviolet (UV) rays of the sun.
Everyone’s skin deserves protection from damage that can be caused by UV rays.
Ultra violet rays from the sun are very dangerous and are able to cause skin cancer as well as premature aging of the skin, it is for this reason that sun screen products are recommended for skin protection.
Even on cloudy days the skin is still exposed to UV rays from the sun .It is easy to assume that sitting in your car ,you are protected from these rays, the truth is any and every part of the body on which the reflection of these rays fall(directly or indirectly) can be affected.
According to dermatologists and skin scientists; pigments in brightly colored fruits and veggies/ foods rich in certain anti oxidants contain protective compounds that build up the skin’s natural barrier against the sun’s harmful rays.
These pigments provide the skin with protection especially in areas the sunscreen products might not reach.
Therefore eating these sunscreen foods can provide a base level protection for the skin against UV rays as well as provide anti- aging affects.
