How to clean honey beans – very easy method

How to clean honey beans or any other type of Nigerian beans.

1. Pour beans into a deep bowl .
2. Pour water into the bowl ; make sure the water covers the beans very well in the bowl , the shafts in the beans as well as bean seeds affected by weevils will float to the surface of the water , use a sieve to take it out.
3. Drain off the water and repeat this process 2 or 3 more times.
4. While the beans is still in water, carefully scoop out the beans into a separate bowl ; at the bottom of the bowl with water , you will notice stones have settled at the bottom of the bowl with water.
5. Repeat this process twice or thrice, just to be sure you have gotten rid of all the dirt in beans.

At this point, the beans should be clean and ready for whatever you dish you want to make with it.
