How to make Nigerian peppersoup without seasoning cubes
Ingredients
- Peppersoup spice mix (available in store themarketfoodshop.com , you can also choose to buy the whole ingredients from Nigerian spice shop and blend yourself ) .
- Natural seasoning powder ( available from Nigerian spice shop ), you can use this in place of seasoning cubes .

- Sea salt

How to make
– Wash the organic chicken and transfer it into pot , add in chopped onions, season with natural seasoning powder ( for stew) and sea salt then add in some water , cover and the allow chicken boil.
-Thoroughly Wash the mushrooms and cut to desired size then set aside .
-After 20-25 minutes chicken should be tender, add in more water to your pot ( 1.5 -2 litres should be okay).
-Add in 1-2 table spoons of themarketfoodshop peppersoup spice mix . If you like spicy foods, you can add in chopped fresh rodo or blended dry pepper .
-Add in mushrooms that were washed and cut earlier, cover the pot and leave to cook for 10 minutes .
– Check for taste , depending on your preference, you can then add in more natural seasoning powder ( soup / stew) and sea salt as required .
-Add in washed and chopped scentleaves ; other fresh vegetables you can use are – utazi , kale , spinach
– Cover to cook for another 5- 10 minutes and your pot of healthy Nigerian peppersoup should be ready.
– Enoy your peppersoup with rice , plantain , yam , Eko ; you can even add it to plain okro and enjoy with any healthy swallow you like
